In January the Cubs of St Pauls Cub Scout Pack Accrington, were set a Centenary Challenge to collect 100 campsite badges from around the country.
The Pack spent some time using computers to access a variety of Camp Sites and were rewarded with replies from over 150 sites.
Once the badges were in the cubs set about designing the layout of the blanket and with the help of our Assistant Cub Scout Leader Angie they designed a Pack Centenery Badge which was to be the centepoint of the display.
Angie then had the task of sewing all the badges on to the blanket and as you can see succeeded in producing the camp blanket shown below.
We would like to say thank you to everyone who helped us reach our goal of 100 campsite badges to go on our camp blanket for our Centenary Challenge.
It was great to receive so many badges and letters of support, lots of you asked for photos of the finished blanket so we have attached two.
As you may be able to see we exceeded our target and we managed to finish it just in time to display it at our Centenary Camp at Bowley Campsite in Great Harwood and it will be going on display in church over the next few weeks.
So thank you again for your support.from all the Cubs and Leaders at St Pauls Barnfield Cub Scout Pack Accrington Lancashire.
